Paintings from Life by Jack Stephenson
This is a very interesting website. Jack has taught art for many years and produces his own unique portraits. His speciality is the 'Conversation Piece'. Jack taught me art many years ago and I probably have him to thank for knowing what makes a good picture - especially when you add a CRASH HELMET!! - Sorry private joke, but jack will appreciate it!

The Mactheatre - The Maldon Actors Company
This company founded by Barry Jaimeson and Nicola Esson put on Shakespeare plays in the open air theatre in Maldon amongst other things. We went to see Barry & Nicola's excellent Christmas production -'The Holly & Ivy and the Mistletoe' in 2009 and I was lucky to meet and chat with this excellent duo a few weeks ago at a Maldon small business meeting.

Paul Churchouse - Professional proofreader
Met Paul through the free business networking sessions held every second Friday (4.30 to 6.30) in the Oakhouse in Maldon High Street. He proofread my poems for my little poetry book I have produced. He has just starting out in the business of proof reading - a second career! I can thoroughly recommend him as he offers a very professional and friendly service.

The Friends of Tiptree Heath
I walk my dogs regularly on the Heath and over the past two years have photographed the environs of the heath through the seasons. Joan the warden is very dedicated and has the support of a great team of volunteers and 'Friends'. Give this website a look and if you are in the area take a walk around the heath - it is very relaxing. Also if you are local to the area they do a wide range of events on the heath. The Dawn Chorus day lead by John Thorogood is particularly good followed by an excellent breakfast in Joan's house!
